SPEAK TO YOUR MOUNTAIN Part 2

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. (Mark 11:23)

Mountains represent literal walls, circumstantial challenges and obstacles in our lives that try to prevent us from receiving and experiencing the promises of God

In Mark 11:22 Jesus declares to us that faith in God is the answer to any challenge we face!  1 John 5:4 tells us faith is the victory that overcomes the world.

When the world is trying to block you from receiving the promises of God, FAITH is the power that blows that wall down!

In Mark 11:23 Jesus tied faith in God to include speaking what we believe!   Jesus commanded us to speak “to” the mountains. He didn't tell us to talk to God about the mountains.   He said to speak directly “to” the mountain what we believe, and when we do this, that mountain which is trying to block our promised inheritance, has to go.

From a worldly perspective this may sound foolish. To speak to a virus or a sickness, that is attacking your body, and tell it to leave sounds naive and foolish to the unbeliever.

1 Corinthians 1:27 reveals to us though that God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise.   Speaking to the mountains in our life only seems foolish to a carnal person because they don’t understand the first priority of speaking.

Many assume words are only used to express our emotions or to communicate with one another.  But the words you speak have a far greater importance.

Proverbs 18:21 tells us “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof."

It's always going to sound foolish to the world when a Christian talks as if what God has promised is a reality, especially when those promises seem to contradict the natural evidence around us.

If you want to keep the enemy defeated this is the kind of talking you better be doing.  The reality is we are going to have to speak to these mountains.   God himself talks this way.

In Romans 4:17 we read; “....even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.”

When God created the universe he looked into the emptiness and spoke His desired end result. He said “LIGHT BE” and light was. (Genesis 1:3)   God doesn't wait for circumstances to line up before He speaks.   He causes circumstances to line up because He speaks.

Some of you may be thinking; “Well that's God.  He can do that, but we can't expect that to happen for us.”

Yes we can.  When we look at  Mark 11:22 we see where Jesus commands us to have faith in God and then proceeds to instruct us on how to operate in that faith by speaking what we believe.

Ephesians 5:1 tells us “Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;”  The word “followers” has been translated from a Greek word “mimetes” which means to imitate.

To imitate means to copy or to act like.   The Bible clearly tells us to follow after, to imitate or copy God as a child does his/her Father.

Isn’t that what children do.  They copy their parents in the way they behave or how they speak. My wife pointed that out to me one day.  She said; "You can sure tell this son is yours by the way he walks and talks.  He behaves just like you."

That is the way it should be with our Heavenly Father.  Our relationship with Him should be so intimate that we begin to walk and talk like Him.

So the truth is, yes we are supposed to act the way God acts.  We are to think the way God thinks, and we are to speak the way God speaks.

1 Peter 1:15-16 declares “But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;  Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.”

He tells us to be holy in our conversation (in our walk and in our talk) as He is holy.   To be holy means to be separated from the way the world believes, speaks and acts.  It means to be different from everybody else, and be like Him.

When we make our words agree with His, and speak them out of our mouth in faith, mountains move, and things change!   Jesus said “whosoever shall say...” that includes you and me.

You may be thinking; “What if nothing happens?"

Let's look to how Jesus acted, when this appeared liked it happened to Him.

Jesus spoke to a fig Tree in Mark 11:14.  After He spoke to it, nothing changed immediately.  He didn't hesitate, He just went on doing what He was doing.   He didn’t wait to see if what He said would manifest right away. He didn't go back later and check to see if anything happened either.  Once He had spoken to it, He considered it done.

Now it was about 24 hours later that the disciples noticed that the tree had dried up from its roots.  That’s what spoken words do.  They go to the core, where things begin, to bring the change or the creation that is desired.

It was the disciples that kept looking to see if what Jesus said would happen.  When they noticed it, they pointed it out to Jesus.  It was at this moment that Jesus took the opportunity to teach them again about faith, and how to use words.

It is time for us to follow His example, and be His disciple.  First we are to believe what God has said.  Second we are to speak what we believe.

Speak your faith, speak your freedom, and speak your healing by speaking His word from a heart that believes!

This is the way you and I receive everything the Lord has given us.  This is even the way we receive our salvation and our place in the family of God.

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”  Romans 10: 9-10

Believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and experience your salvation today.   Don’t stop there.  Continue speaking to the mountains in your life.

Begin speaking to the sickness, to the poverty, and to anything that is challenging or blocking you from receiving God's promises.  Demand them to be removed.

Believe God’s Word and call those things that be not as though they were.

It is this kind of faith that sets captives free, and releases the miracle working power of God in your life.  It’s this kind of faith that makes your salvation a reality.

SPEAKING TO YOUR MOUNTAIN PART 1

"For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith." (Mark 11:23)

Mountains represent literal walls, circumstantial challenges and obstacles in our lives that try to prevent us from receiving and experiencing the promises of God

In 2 Corinthians 4:4 we read where Satan, “the god of this world system”, attempts to blind our minds through unbelief. His purpose for doing so is to block us from receiving and experiencing the strong overcoming, abundant life God has for us.

“In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”

God designed our bodies to live forever. (Gen 1:26)  God did not design our bodies to break down and die.  He created us sickness free.  He created us with no disabilities; we were strong, healthy and free!  That was our original design.

It was not until man, blinded by the deception of the devil, was faced with a mountain that challenged this reality. That mountain was unbelief.  God warned man, the day he chooses to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil he would die. (Genesis 2:17)

Sadly that day came. Sin was formed in man’s heart, and death came into the world.  Sin, which is believing and acting on something other than what God has said, is designed to steal, kill, and destroy us in every area of our life, spiritually, physically, and provisionally.

The purpose of sin is to challenge, or block us from walking in FAITH, which is believing and acting on what God has said.  It challenges us.  It is a mountain that needs to be removed from our hearts.

Sickness in our bodies is the direct result of sin that has infected our hearts. (Romans 5:12)    The wages of sin is death. (Romans 6:23)  Sin produced sickness in mans bodies.

Sickness is death in progress.  It challenges our health. It is a mountain that must be removed.

Sickness attempts to block us from walking in and experiencing God's original design of divine health.  From the common cold to the most devastating of cancers if not removed, the end result is death.

Only faith can remove the mountains in our life.
In Joshua 1:5 we see this principle revealed.

“There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”

This word “stand” here actually means to stand in a stationary position in order to block you.

God was telling Joshua that no enemy would be able to stand in front of him to block him and the nation of Israel from possessing the promise land.

He did not say that they would not try to block him. For the enemies of Israel attempted to do so. They tried to stop them at every turn. With every battle there was a Word from the Lord that Joshua had to hear, believe, and act on to have victory.

The same principle is true for us today.  No enemy of God, no circumstance, no mountain, no sickness is able to stand in front of you to block you from taking possession of God's promise of healing and health, for your life!

It is time to end the confusion.
We must get one foundational truth settled in our hearts.  The mountain is not there because God wants to challenge you.  The mountain is there because Satan is challenging you.  He is attempting to block you from receiving your promise of healing, and steal the health God has already given you!

The Apostle Paul experienced this type of resistance from the enemy.  His experience is a perfect New Testament example of how to overcome these mountains, these challenges of Satan.

In 2 Corinthians 12:7 we read:
“And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.”

Notice that Paul received an abundance of revelations from Jesus Christ. These revelations would cause him to be exalted above his situations.  He became a powerful threat to the kingdom of darkness.

That is the purpose of revelation, to raise you up out of the oppression of darkness.

Jesus told Peter that He was blessed because of the revelation he received.  It is upon this rock, the rock of revelation that the Church would be built.  Furthermore, the gates of hell would not prevail against it!  (Matthew 16:17)

Did you see that?  Jesus said that the gates of hell would not be successful in blocking you from walking in your revelation.

This is what the enemy fears in your life.  So he aggressively and subtly challenges you from experiencing the revelation of Jesus Christ.

He has attempted to do this through what Paul revealed to us in 2 Corinthians 12:7.  His subtle deception has twisted this powerful truth and enslaved millions.

First of all let's look at the phrase “lest I should be exalted above measure."  Religion has misinterpreted that to mean Paul exalting himself in pride because of his revelations.  That interpretation flies in the face of what Jesus taught in Matthew 16:17.

Again the purpose of revelation is to cause you and I to rise above the oppression of darkness. Revelation opens prison doors for them that were bound (Isaiah 61:1).  Revelation makes us free, (John 8:31-32).  Revelation comes from God through Jesus Christ (Hebrews 1:2), and whom the Son makes free is free indeed! (John 8:36)

Secondly it was Satan, not God, that assigned to Paul a special messenger to persecute him, to be a “thorn in his flesh”, to challenge him in every way.

And finally, to further his deception, Satan suggested Paul's "thorn in the flesh” to be some kind of physical sickness sent by God to humble him.

A foundational principle that will help you understand what the Bible is saying is this; The Bible will always interpret itself.   Paul knew the Old Testament like the back of his hand. He made references, in his written Epistles that came from the Old Testament quite often.

The phrase “thorn in the flesh” is one of them.  Let’s look at Ezekiel 28:24.  Here we read how the enemies of Israel were referred to as thorns.

“And there shall be no more a brier to prick the house of Israel or a HURTING THORN of all those around them who have treated them with contempt and they shall know (understand and realize that I am the Lord God.”

You see Paul used the phrase “thorn in the flesh” to refer to a group of people that were persecuting him.  Everywhere Paul went preaching the Gospel, Satan used a group of Jewish men, who were enemies of the Gospel, to go where Paul was, and stir up strife and contention that would cause him harm.

They were literally attempting to stand in front of him to challenge his progress in reaching the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Paul repeatedly ran for his life, was stoned and left for dead, or kicked out of the town where he was ministering.   The unbelieving Jews that were challenging and persecuting Paul at every turn were the “thorn in the flesh” that he was referring to.

Nowhere does Paul ever refer to sickness and disease as a “thorn in the flesh.”

We must understand WHO our enemy is.  It is not God trying to prevent you from receiving His blessing.  He is the one who sent His best, Jesus Christ, to die for you so you can have and experience His life and blessing.

Satan is the one that will influence people; stir up storms and circumstances, to block you from receiving God's best in your life.

God is the One, and Jesus clearly revealed it to us in Mark 11:22-24, Who gave us a tool, a weapon to use to overcome and remove these mountains in our lives.

The main tool that God has ordained us to use is FAITH!  FAITH ALWAYS SPEAKS!

In Mark 11:22 Jesus said faith in God is the answer to any challenge you face!

In Mark 11:23 Jesus tied faith in God to include speaking what we believe!   Jesus commanded us to speak to the mountain. He didn't tell us to talk to God about the mountain.   He said to speak directly to the mountain what we believe, our desired end result, and when we do that the mountain in our life, which is trying to block our promised inheritance, has to move.

Use the tool God has given you.  Use your faith in God.  1 Peter 2:24 declares “...by His stripes ye were healed.”  Believe that Word in your heart, and then speak that Word to your body.

Speak to the mountain of sickness, that is challenging your health, and demand it be removed from your body.  Stand your ground and don’t give place to the devil!

Say this from your heart of faith today:

IN THE NAME OF JESUS, DEVIL YOU MUST LEAVE!  BY HIS STRIPES I AM HEALED! I AM NOT THE SICK, I AM THE HEALED.  SICKNESS, DISEASE, DISABILITY, YOU MUST LEAVE!  BODY YOU ARE HEALED! YOU ARE HEALTHY, YOU ARE STRONG! PRAISE THE LORD, I AM FREE!

THE FATHERS PERSONAL HEALING PRESENCE

Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. (Romans 6:4)

The Word of God tells us that Jesus was raised up from the dead by the Glory of God.
In order for us to understand what this means, we need to understand the Glory of God. We must ask ourselves what or more accurately Who is the Glory of God?

In Exodus 33:18-23 we see Moses asking God to see His Glory.

"And he (Moses) said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.  And He (God) said, I will make all MY GOODNESS pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before thee; ….. And He said, Thou canst not see MY FACE: for there shall no man SEE ME, and live….And it shall come to pass, while MY GLORY passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with MY HAND while I PASS BY:  And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen."

God's reply to that request was to reveal himself personally to Moses.  Notice it is recorded here in Exodus that God said “while I PASS BY”.   God personally came on the scene and walked by Moses.
So when we start talking about the Glory of God we are talking about the personal presence of God Himself.

So to grasp the reality of what happened in Romans 6:4 we can now see that the Father personally came to Jesus, rescued Him, and raised Him up from the dead.  It was not some far out, impersonal mystical energy that did this.

In Habakkuk 3:1-6 we read where the prophet Habakkuk prayed to God.  Habakkuk saw the evil in his day.  The conditions were not up to Gods standards of life.

You may be seeing situations in your life right now that may not be in agreement with Gods standards, situations such as sin, poverty, sickness, bondage, or oppression.

When Habakkuk saw these conditions he went to God and prayed that God would make Himself known. He prayed for revival, and God answered his prayer.

How did God answer His prayer?  He did so by personally coming onto the scene.  His glory came and covered the heavens.  The Earth was full of His praise.  His brightness was like that of the sun and rays or bright beams were coming from his hands.

After describing the Glory of God, Habakkuk declared that there in God’s Glory was The Hiding Place of His power.

In the Glory of God is where you and I find the Power of God.

It’s this power that saved, healed and raised Jesus up from the dead.

This is what you and I need today.  We were never created to live without God's personal presence.   Adam was clothed in God's Glory in the day that He was created.

Clothed with the Glory of God, His personal presence, Adam receives power to live in divine health free from sickness and disease.

Look at Romans 3:23; “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”   Sin separated us from the Glory of God, His presence, and by doing so it separated us from the His power to save, and heal as well.

But that's not the end of the story. God's plan was to restore you and I back to His Glory, back to His presence. In verse 24 we continue to read “Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.”  Through the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ we now have been redeemed back to the Glory of God, back to His presence!

Another passage of scripture tells us that  “Christ in you” is our “hope of Glory.”  (Col 1:27)   Because of Jesus we have now been reconciled back to the Glory of God.

In reality that's what the day of Pentecost was all about.   It was the restoration of man back to the personal presence of God.  Acts 2:1-4;  “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come… suddenly there was a sound from… it filled all the house where they were sitting… and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost…. "

Look at what Jesus said in Acts 1:8 “...you shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost has come upon you.”  Why because the Holy Spirit is the very personal presence of God Himself.

The Holy Spirit is the Glory of God with us. The Holy Spirit is Gods personal presence in our lives. This is what the disciples were experiencing on that special day.

And now, like disciples, this is what you and I can experience today as well.  We can be filled with the personal presence of the Father.  We can be filled with His power to save and heal!

Finally let’s look at what God said in Romans 8:11;  “If the Spirit (Glory) of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you…”

Praise God!   If the Spirit of God is the Glory of the Father, His personal presence, and the Spirit of God dwells in you, the believer,  that means then that the power of God to save heal and deliver dwells in you as well!

He went on to say that the Holy Spirit, the Glory of God... "shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you.”

It is the personal presence of the Father and His power that will quicken or make life in your body.

That's what the power of God will do.  God's personal presence is His healing presence.  His Glory is where your healing is experienced!

If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, He personally dwells within you. This means that His power to heal your body is in you as well!

Wherever you are whatever you are doing the Father's personal presence, His Glory, is right there with you.   Whatever situation you are in, God's Glory and His power is with you to assist you and to give you whatever you need to overcome.

In Acts 10:38 we see it written where God anointed Jesus with the Holy Ghost, (His Glory) and with power.  It says that Jesus took the personal presence of God and His power, and went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil.

Grab hold of the scriptures today meditate on them until the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead rises up within you and manifests His power in you.   Salvation, healing, and deliverance are yours!   Understand that God is with you personally. Take His power and kick that sickness right out the front door and walk in your new found freedom today!

YOU WILL RECOVER

"And these signs shall follow them that believe...they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover." (Mark 16:17-18)

We just read here that when a person believes and lays hands on the sick, the sick SHALL RECOVER! The Bible didn’t say that they might recover, it says they SHALL recover.

You may be thinking, “Well I had hands laid on me, and I didn’t get healed. So what happened?”

Does God heal or doesn’t He? Does He choose to heal some and not others? Is He even in the healing business today?

These are valid questions. Even though the answers may seem mysterious or unreachable, the answer to these questions is really very simple.

I have good news, and it might shock you, but the truth is your healing did come. As a matter of fact your healing is still there!

I had one person say to me, referring to ministers who pray for the sick; “They have tried and tried to heal me, and it didn’t work.”

When the person said this, I immediately responded saying; “Yes it did! In fact you have your healing now!”

How can I say this?

First of all, in Mark 16:18 we read where; “... they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” The word SHALL does not mean might. It has been translated from a Greek word which means; “To have, to hold, to possess”

The word RECOVER here, has been translated from a Greek word which means; “Well, good, recovering health.”

So we can literally translate this promise from scripture this way. “...they shall lay hands on the sick, and they (the sick) will have and possess recovering health.”

Second of all, God is not the One holding healing back from us. Look at what He said in Exodus 15:26; “...I am the Lord that healeth thee.” And in Malachi 3:6 He declares “I am the Lord I change not.” James 1:5 says; “...(God) giveth to all men liberally…” And then in I John 4:8 we read where “...God is love.” And finally in 1 Corinthians 13:8 “Love never fails..”

So God is the One Who gives us healing, He never changes, and since He is love, and love never fails, then God never fails to give us healing!

So why does it appear at times that we are not healed?

This issue is not God. The issue is with us. We are the ones who need to receive what He gives. We must understand that it takes faith to receive anything from the Lord.

“For by faith are you saved, through grace, and not of your selves it is a gift of God.” (Eph 2:8).

Salvation is a gift. The only way you receive salvation is by faith. The word SAVED here in Eph 2:8 does not merely mean salvation from hell after you die. This word has been translated from the Greek word SOZO which means “to save, to deliver, protect, heal, preserve, be made whole.”

We can see here that salvation, which includes healing, is a gift from God, and is freely given to us by His grace. This gift though, can only be received through faith.

You see the very moment hands are laid on a person for healing, it is given. What we need to do is to simply believe that God has given it!

The only way to receive anything from the Lord is by faith, through grace.

Mark 16:17-18 tells us that, “...they shall RECOVER.” Again the word RECOVER means “RECOVERING HEALTH” which implies time.

Healing is instantaneous. But the manifestation of your healing can be a process. As you continue to believe that you have received, your healing begins to manifest over time.

When you have been dealing, or living with a problem for some length of time, it can literally become your giant.

A giant, like the warrior Goliath in 1 Samuel 17, is a challenge or an obstacle that stands in front of you to block you from receiving the promises of God.

A giant can be a stronghold in your heart that exalts itself against the knowledge of Christ, thus making the Word of God unfruitful in your life.

What you need to do in this scenario is to continue thinking, believing and acting on what God has said about your healing. When God's promise of healing is bigger in your heart than the sickness in your body, that promise overthrows the stronghold that was hindering your victory!

When we only see the promise of God's Word in our heart that is when the saving power of that Word is activated and released into our bodies.

I used to get frustrated when I would pray for people to be healed and it appeared that nothing took place.

There would be times where I would sense the healing power of God bouncing right off of their body and back into my hands.

In other cases I would sense the power of God going into their body, but it would only go so far, and then stop. This person could say that they actually felt something, but in the end no real manifestation took place.

Then there were those times when I would sense the power of God being received into their body, and they would immediately see a manifestation of healing! They were healed, and they would rejoice and give God the glory. But then a few days later the symptoms of that issue would appear to come back and they would lose the manifestation of their healing.

What was happening? They were not receiving or keeping what the Lord had given them.

Let these words sink into your heart and form your faith.

God said the sick would recover, and God never lies! So if He said they would recover, then that means healing was given.

When you realize that it's not your loving Father who's holding back, but that it’s up to you to believe and receive His promise, you will be on the road to recovery.

I have no problem laying hands on people and believing for them to be healed. Whether they walk away well or not, I just keep standing in faith for them.

I don’t look for the outward manifestation. I look to the Word of God. He said that they would recover. In fact, I know that if they believe God and His Word in their heart--I don't care if it's five years from now--they will experience their healing!

If you've laid hands on someone who didn't receive their healing, don't cut off the flow of God's power by withdrawing your faith. Stand fast! Keep believing that God gave them what they asked for.

If hands have been laid on you for healing, believe that God has given you your healing! Activate the power of that promise, by believing God and His Word in your heart!

As you continue in His Word, you will see the manifestation of your healing. The Bible says that after you have done all that you can do, STAND until it manifests!

Bless God, believe that God has given you your healing, see your giant die, and experience your healing today!

THANK YOU

THE POWER THAT HEALS

“Whether is easier to say Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk? But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise and take up thy couch, and go into thine house. And immediately he rose up before them, and took up that whereon he lay, and departed to his own house glorifying God.” (Luke 5:23-25)

In reading the Word of God it doesn’t take long to see that a supernatural power is at work producing God's will in the earth. As you begin looking at the life of Jesus, you see this power demonstrated in and through His ministry. In fact, in His very first sermon Jesus emphasized that the Holy Spirit is upon Him, giving Him the power to preach, to heal, and to make men free!

In Luke 4:18 Jesus declared: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.”

The word anointed is translated from the Greek word chriō which means; “to touch with the hand, to consecrate to an office, to give power or authority.” What Jesus was literally saying to the Hebrew ear, was that God had placed His hand upon Him, and had given Him an authority, a power to free mankind from the bondage of sin.

In Acts 10:38 we read “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”

Here we see Luke plainly stating How God anointed (chriō) Jesus with the Holy Ghost, and with power.

The word power here is translated from a Greek word dynamis which means strength power, ability, abundance, miraculous power.

This anointing on Jesus, gave Him the authority and power to heal all that were oppressed of the devil.

We see this power in action in Luke 5:17-25; “And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting …. and the power of the Lord was present to heal them. And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy: ...... And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee."

Here we see Jesus using this power that was present to heal, to forgive someone of their sins. Jesus went on to say that forgiving someone's sins, is just as easy as healing their bodies. Why? Because they are both done by the same power.

Luke 5: 17 tells us that while Jesus was teaching; “.... the power (dynamis) of the Lord was present to heal them.” But no one in that house where Jesus was teaching received their healing. Even though the power of the Lord was available to heal, no one benefited from it.

But when a man, who was sick, came in faith, Jesus used that power to forgive the man his sins.

Imagine that! The scriptures say the power was present to heal, not to forgive. What was Jesus thinking? In fact some of the Scribes and Pharisees that were sitting in that house listening to Jesus questioned among themselves about this.. They literally thought in their hearts; Who does this man think he is? Why does he think he can take the power of God and release someone of their sins?

These men understood that it would take a specific authority, a power, to release someone from the wages of their sin. They believed that only God has that place of authority and power.

But God has chosen to give this power to the Son of man. Jesus knew that the power was present, and He used that power to forgive this man of his sins. He released this man from judgement!

Now notice what Jesus went on to say and do: “But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thine house. And immediately he rose up before them, and took up that whereon he lay, and departed to his own house, glorifying God.”

Once the man's sins were forgiven, which is the power of God releasing this man from the curse, Jesus told him to get up, pick up your bed and go home. YOU ARE FREE!

THE POWER THAT FORGAVE THIS MAN'S SINS HEALED HIS BODY

Jesus proved to them that the man's sins were forgiven by telling him to get up and go home!. His body was healed!

That’s what healing of the body does. It proves that sins are forgiven! It is the release from the judgement and curse of sin!

THE SAME POWER THAT FORGIVES SIN, IS THE SAME POWER THAT HEALS

The same is true for you and I today. Jesus took the power that God entrusted to him, and has already forgiven you of your sins, He has released you from the judgement and curse of sin by dying on the cross. YOU ARE FREE!
Now, according to John 3:16 all we have to do is believe this, and we can receive that same power that forgives our sins and heals our bodies as well.

I was preaching in a service one particular time, on the subject of forgiveness and the life of God. Before I ever entered into ministry, during a time of prayer, the Lord told me that He has placed His Word in my mouth. He went on to say that when I minister His Word, His power would be released and begin manifesting in people's lives. God made it clear to me this particular day that healing would manifest without me laying hands on people. As I would speak His Word, and as the people believed, they would be healed.

Now don’t misunderstand me, the Word of God says to lay hands on the sick, and they will recover, so this ministry continues to obey that Word. But it is through speaking His Word that His power to release you from the bondage of sin is made available.

I declared this to the congregation that day. During the sermon not one individual came forward with a testimony of healing.

When I finished my message I didn’t get discouraged. I did perceived faith in the congregation though, so I simply looked to the Lord and asked; Now what would you like me to do?

He instructed me to give an altar call, and invite people to accept Jesus, to be filled with the Holy Spirit and to receive healing for their bodies.

He said; "As they come forward, lay hands on them to receive." So I did as He instructed me and the altar was packed. As I prayed, souls were saved, filled with His Holy Spirit, and bodies were healed. God was truly glorified!

Later on that week, a woman who was in that service came up to me and began to tell me of an ailment that she had suffered with all of her life. She suffered from a skin condition that caused her constant pain and discomfort.

In her excitement she began to share with me her testimony. During that sermon, she began to feel a tingling sensation all over her body. She stated that she had never felt this type of sensation before. By the end of the service she noticed that she felt no more pain.

She apologized to me for not coming forward that day, but wanted to go home and inspect her body. She shared with her husband that she believed the Lord healed her.

When she did arrive home, both she and her husband began looking at her skin, and saw that the condition was completely gone from every part of her body! Glory to God, she experienced a dramatic healing, while being under the ministry of the Word.

The critics of God's healing message today need to understand that the same power that God uses to forgive and release them from their sins, is the same power that heals their bodies.

If you have received Jesus as Your Lord and Savior the power to forgive your sins has been released. You are now free from the bondage, judgment and curse of sin. And since you and I have been forgiven, our bodies are now free from its curse. That power brings health and healing to every part of your body!

All it takes is for you and I to believe like the man who came into the house that day where Jesus was ministering.

The Scriptures say that Jesus saw their faith! Faith tapped into the power of the Lord that was present. Faith caused this man to receive forgiveness of sins, to be made free, and to receive healing for his body!

We need to understand that through ministering the Word of God, like Jesus did when He was physically on this earth, power is made available for people to receive their freedom! Jesus saw people being healed right and left.

God wants people free, so Jesus set people free. Never once did Jesus put sickness on someone. The exact opposite happened! He took the power of God and forgave people of their sins, healed their bodies, and brought glory to God

It is time for the body of Christ to do the same today. It is time for us to hear the Word of God, take the power of the Lord and receive forgiveness for our sins, and healing for our bodies!

YOU ARE BLESSED

A HEART TO SEE YOUR HEALING

FROM "THE HEART OF THE MATTER" SERIES
When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.  For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.  (Mark 5:27-39)

A CHANGE OF HEART

FROM "THE HEART OF THE MATTER" SERIES
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)

GODS WORD WORKS

God’s Word is a law that works every time, all the time!

Once a person becomes consumed with what God has said, their heart begins to be cleansed from the thoughts and images of bondage, and sickness. As a result they begin to think and see images of the healing, and freedom they have in Christ Jesus."

FAITH AND THE POWER OF GOD

FROM "THE HEART OF THE MATTER" SERIES
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. (Hebrews 11:6)

WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT?

"But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man is blessed in his deed."  (James 1:25)

Many times in ministering to individuals who are seeking healing, I'll bring a mirror. This mirror is not a physical glass type mirror. It is a special, supernatural mirror designed to give them a true and accurate reflection of who they really are.

The reason I bring this mirror, is that on many occasions the person who is seeking healing has become so consumed with the condition that is plaguing them, that they are unable to see themselves any other way.

This mirror is called “THE PERFECT LAW OF LIBERTY”, which is the Word of God! God’s Word vividly paints a living picture of the freedom, healing, and provision that HE has given us.

There is a reason why the Word of God is called “The Perfect Law of Liberty”.

A “law”, is something that works all the time! God has already done a work in and through Jesus Christ!

John 1:1-14 declares that Jesus is the Word of God, and that all things are created by and through Him. Jesus went onto say that “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.” (Rev 22:13) So this reveals that God has done, and continues to do a great work through Jesus, Who is His Word.

God’s Word is the beginning and the end of your situation.

John 8:31-32 goes on to say "…, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

God’s Word is a law that works every time, all the time!

Once a person becomes consumed with what God has said, their heart begins to be cleansed from the thoughts and images of bondage, and sickness. As a result they begin to think and see images of the healing, and freedom they have in Christ Jesus.

The word “LOOK” in James 1:25 means; "to bend over and peer into, to get a better look." When you begin to peer into the Word of God, you'll begin to see yourself as a person who has been healed, delivered, and made FREE! You'll begin to see an image of health instead of sickness, victory instead of defeat, freedom instead of bondage, prosperity instead of poverty, strength instead of weakness.

You’ll begin to see how valuable you are. (John 3:16)

Colossians 1:13 says that God HAS delivered us from the power of darkness.

2 Peter 1:3 proclaims that God HAS given us ALL THINGS that pertain to life, and godliness.

Luke 10:19 Jesus Himself declares that He HAS given you & I authority over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt us.

Isaiah 53:3-5 & 1 Peter 2:24 tell us that we are healed, and that God HAS healed us.

Glory to God, are you beginning to see the reflection of HEALING, and VICTORY?

James 1:22-25 is telling us to look into this mirror. When we are influenced, impacted and occupied by what we see in the Word of God, that is when we will begin receiving what God has promised us.

Are you consumed with the symptoms’ of sickness today, or are you occupied with 1 Peter 2:24 which declares “BY HIS STRIPES YE WERE HEALED.”?

James 1:25 instructs us to look and to keep on looking into this mirror. "But whoso looketh. . . this man is blessed in his deed." When we begin looking into this mirror that is when we will begin experiencing the blessing and the reality of this truth in our lives.

Being occupied and influenced by our natural understanding is actually reversing the process which God requires for us to receive our freedom.

So many people are being controlled by how they feel. They have allowed their feelings to be the compass of their lives. They exalt these feelings above the most rational thinking, not to mention the Word of God.

By being occupied by these feelings, we literally establish and reinforce the condition the devil has us in. We become cemented in our bondage, limited, restrained and controlled by the deception of the devil.

If one stays in this position long enough, they literally walk into physical and spiritual death!

One of the greatest revelations one can get from the Word of God is that thoughts produce feelings. If you have the wrong feeling it is a sign that you have the wrong thought. If you have the right feeling, that’s an indication you have the right thought!

We should take a life lesson from Abraham our Father in the faith, and imitate him. He refused to consider his own body and he waxed strong in faith LOOKING unto the promises of God. (Romans 4:18-21)

We also can follow after Sarah, Abraham’s wife. We read in Hebrews 11:11 where Sarah "received physical power…because she considered [God], Who had given her the promise, to be reliable and trustworthy and true to His Word." (Amp)

Instead of considering her limitations, which were her age, or the deadness of her womb, Sarah considered the promise of God’s Word, formed faith in her heart, and received strength in her body to conceive a child.

In Numbers 21:8 we read an account where thousands of Israelites were dying, because of snakes that had bitten them. So Moses, under the direction of God, set up a brass serpent on a pole and set it before the people.

In verse 8 we read, "and it shall come to pass, that everyone that is bitten, when he LOOKETH upon it, shall live." Notice the condition was, "everyone who LOOKETH shall live." No one would receive their healing, except on the condition that they LOOK and continue looking at the brass serpent.

This brass serpent on a pole was a prophetic picture of what Jesus Christ would become in behalf of all mankind.

The serpent represented the curse of the law (SICKNESS). The pole represents the cross on which Jesus would be crucified.

In Galatians 3:13 we read where; "Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law (sickness), being made a curse for us, for it is written, cursed is everyone who hangeth on a tree."

The word LOOKETH here in Numbers 21:8 infers a continual stare. This wasn’t a glance; they were to continually stare at it until they were healed.

Are you beginning to see it? Jesus became our PERFECT LAW OF LIBERTY!

The same is true today. The healing process is completed as we, not only begin to look into the Perfect Law of Liberty, but to keep our focus on JESUS, THE WORD, the Promise of God. We are to give Gods Word our full attention until we form a steadfast faith that receives His life giving power.

Begin looking at the right mirror. Change your focus from the deception of sickness, to the reality of healing. Walk in the freedom of divine health by looking into the Perfect Law Liberty today!

TESTIMONY "I GAVE YOU WHAT YOU ASKED FOR"

TESTIMONY "I GAVE YOU WHAT YOU ASKED FOR"

By Diane Daily

For several months I had been experiencing a cough. The cough would come and go. At one point the cough seemed to stay longer then what was usual, and was accompanied with a sore throat and fever. After sometime a swelling on the right side of my neck appeared.

At one point the swelling became as large as a golf ball, but then shrunk back down. The soreness in my throat remained, along with a small lump that I could feel in my throat.

I began to hear "Go to the doctor." I thought to myself, "Could that be God saying this to me? " Then I thought, "God says in His Word that by His stripes I was healed, therefore I am healed. I don't need to go."

But the symptoms grew worse. I would hear "Go to the doctor". My friends and family would also encourage me to go to the doctor as well. I would always respond to them, I don't need to go to the doctor, because God says that by his stripes I am healed.

I took this stance for quite some time. Nothing got better, in fact it seemed to get worse. Then the cough got so bad that i could not sleep at night, and I was getting exhausted.

I decided to go to the doctor so I could at least get some cough syrup so I could sleep at night.

I was seen by one doctor, who after examining me, went and got another doctor to come in and check my neck on the right side. The two of them said it was very serious and that I needed to have more tests done.

I got a personal doctor to begin overseeing the tests, and he conducted another exam. He gave me allergy medicine, and cough syrup. He said that I eeded to have an ultra sound done on my neck. The appiontment was made within one week.

The ultra sound showed a very large mass on the right side of my thyroid. It was very suspiscious for malignancy. I was then advised to have a biobsy done. I asked for a referral to go to the Mayo Clinic. One was granted and an apointment was made within one week.

The day before my biopsy, I called the RSMI Prayer and Healing Center to come in for prayer. I said to God, "Father, I am asking for a miracle of healing, I need it now, and I can not wait. I am going in for prayer and I am going to receive what you have for me."

When I went in for prayer, Pastor Rory said to me, "When I lay hands on you, receive your healing." I said "Yes!" I knew that was God speaking to me.

When Pastor Rory laid hands on me and declared my healing, I fell down under the power of Gods Anointing. I remeber I began to laugh and laugh. My friend Kim who was there praying for me, had her hands on me begain laughing as well.

After a short time, I got up and it was done. I received my healing.

I went the next day to Mayo Clinic for the biopsy, and Praise God it was benign.

I was thanking God for His faithfulness to me and His faithfulness to His word. I then heard Him say to me, "I GAVE YOU WHAT YOU ASKED FOR." I began to cry out of gratitude and what I could not express with words unto such a loving God I believe my tears did.

Gods word is truth. God is forever faithful to His word. Jut believe God. He is who He says He is. He has done what He says He has done, and He will do what He says He will do.

Man can say one thing, but the truth is only found in God. His word is truth, for He is truth He can not lie. Just believe God He will bring His word to pass in you life. If you will choose to believe Him over man.

It gives Him great pleasure to reveal Himself to you.

THOU ART LOOSED!

“And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath. And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself. And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.” (Luke 13:10-13)

As Jesus was ministering one day in a particular synagogue, He noticed a certain woman who was suffering with a specific condition. The Word of God tells us that she was being oppressed by a spirit of infirmity.

In the Classic Amplified translation of this incident, we get a better understanding of what was going on in the life of this woman:

“And there was a woman there who for eighteen years had had an infirmity caused by a spirit (a demon of sickness). She was bent completely forward and utterly unable to straighten herself up or to look upward.” (Luke 13:11)

The infirmity that she was suffering was the result of a demon spirit. This infirmity did not come from God. It was the result of satanic oppression. In Acts 10:38 we read; “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”

One thing we need to clearly understand is that sickness and disease is not from God. It is satanic oppression. Satan through his lies and deceptions is the cause of the various illnesses, infirmities, disabilities, sicknesses and diseases that we experience in the earth today. It is the result of Satan attempting to lord over Gods children.

As a result of the oppression, this woman “was bent completely forward and utterly unable to straighten herself up or to look upward.”

This dear woman lived with this condition for 18 years. Think about that for a moment. 18 years of constantly being forced to look at the ground. 18 years of not being able to straighten out her back and stand straight. 18 years of tremendous pain and agony. 18 years of coming to the same synagogue and not receiving any relief from her oppression. 18 years of discouragement, and condemnation.

But then one day she heard that Jesus Christ of Nazareth would be ministering in her city at her synagogue. She heard the miracles and healings that were being received and experienced through His ministry. No matter how hard, or embarrassing it would be, she was determined to get where He was, and hear what He would be saying. This day would be different. This day would be her day of freedom.

As she stood there listening to Jesus, He suddenly stopped. He looked right at her. Then she heard Him call out to her, to come to Him. I can just feel her excitement, her expectation, as she moved toward Him. Despite the pain, and limitations of her condition, she pressed forward to answer the call of Jesus. This was her day, this was her hour.

When she made it to Him, she heard Jesus make an astounding statement. He said “WOMAN, THOU ART LOOSED, FROM THINE INFIRMITY.”

Why did He say that? What did He mean? She didn’t appear to be loosed. She was in a bent over position. She was still unable to straighten herself up? What did He see?

The moment Jesus saw this woman, He didn’t see her the way she saw herself. He didn’t see her the way everybody else saw her. All they saw was the condition, the sickness, the disease, and the bondage.

Although everyone else may have thought her future was hopeless, Jesus saw her for who she really was. He saw her in her future, and believed it was time for a change!

Some people may have even thought that she had committed a terrible sin, and God must be punishing her. But Jesus didn’t focus in on any sin, He only saw her FREEDOM, He saw only a daughter of God!

When everybody else saw bondage and condemnation, Jesus saw her freedom! Unfortunately people are always seeing and speaking the deception. Jesus saw and spoke the truth!

What do you see? Do you see yourself the way God the Father sees you? Do you see yourself “..holy, unblameable, and unreproveable in His sight.” (Col 1:22) Do you see yourself saved, healed, delivered and made whole?

Jesus spoke to her what He saw. “WOMEN THOU ART LOOSED!”

I am sure there were some in synagogue that day that thought, “What the heck are you doing to this poor women? Why are you lying to her, can’t you see that she is sick? They may have even thought, “This guy is being really mean. He must be a faith fanatic. What is he thinking?”

What was He thinking? He was thinking what God thinks about His children. He was thinking the truth! That was what Jesus thought, and spoke to her. He spoke the truth. He spoke the covenant!

You see this woman was free, and didn’t know it. She was a daughter of Abraham. Abraham had a covenant with God that promised her freedom from infirmity. She had a covenant with God that said that He was her Healer, her Physician! (Exodus 15:26)

The fact may be, that like this woman, you may be experiencing bondage, or a sickness, or even an apparent failure of some kind.

You may be in a hopeless situation, and it may look like everyone around you has given up on you. They may even be counseling you to give up and prepare for the worse.

But the TRUTH you need to hear today is; IT’S NOT OVER! YOU ARE FREE!

Even though this woman, who was a daughter of Abraham, was free, she didn’t know it. She was deceived. As a result she allowed, through a lack of knowledge, the enemy to keep her bound for 18 years.

It’s the same thing with you and me today. We have a blood covenant with God through Jesus Christ. This covenant has already provided healing. (1 Peter 2:24) We already have complete and total deliverance from the power of darkness. (Colossians 1:13-14) We are free!

Jesus Christ has already delivered you from the bondage of sin, sickness, poverty and spiritual death. The Word of God declares, “Whom the Son MAKES FREE IS FREE INDEED! (John 8:36)

We need to believe that JESUS MADE US FREE, and then make our stand! “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free, and be not entangled with the yoke of bondage.” (Galatians 5:1)

The only way you can begin to experience this freedom, is to begin believing what Jesus has said about you. That is what this precious woman did that day.

When Jesus spoke those truth filled words, “WOMAN THOU ART LOOSED”, they went directly into her heart. Those WORDS OF JESUS blew out and dispelled the darkness, the doubt and deceptive lies of the enemy. Those WORDS OF JESUS flooded her heart with the healing power of God, restoring her heart with the truth! When the light shines in darkness, the darkness cannot overcome it! (John 1:5)

Through those spoken Words, she allowed Jesus to lay His hands on her. She didn’t argue, fuss or get offended at His faith filled declaration! She came to the synagogue that day to be healed. She came to JESUS!

As a result, Jesus just stood her up! SHE WAS FREE! What He said WAS TRUE! That demon spirit who had held her in bondage through deception, could no longer hold her down! THE TRUTH MADE HER FREE! (John 8:32)

It’s time for you to receive the truth as well. Make this day your day of freedom. Receive the Words of Jesus, answer the call, and allow Jesus to STAND YOU UP! Go ahead - Begin walking in your FREEDOM TODAY!

YOU ARE BLESSED!
